ADR engineering.........problems

Just posting this to warn others about their slow customer service.
I ordered a gearchange cable from them along with a UJ and some steering splines about 7 weeks ago.
I had to hassle them to get my order after 5 weeks.
They sent the splines and UJ out without the gearchange cable, so more calls and I got the cable 2 weeks ago, only it was a foot too short!
2 weeks on and no replacement.
They look like a good quality company judging by their car at Detling and their website, but their aftersales is pants.

Now I know why it takes years to build cars instead of months!

Not heard of any problems from ADR owners and theres quite a few in the 750mc racing them.

Cheers Matt

That's no kind of response. Either they want business for spares/parts etc or they don't. If that's why nitram38 is getting a poor service then it plain stinks and they should have refused his order in the first place.

They are advertising parts in totalkitcar and on their website.
What is the difference in putting things in a bag and sending it to an ADR or non-ADR customer?
Reputations are made (good and bad) by the way you treat people.
As I said, they look a nice polished company, but really are not all that in customer service.
I sell R1 sump baffles which I only advertise for sale only when they are in my grubby little hands.
I also post them out first class the day they are ordered.
That is why I get repeat orders from people like yorksire engines.

Well if they are advertising in the press there's no excuse then. But can only say that when an ADR customer crashed his ADR one week he had his spares and was back out the next week.

Maybe they take the racing side of the business a bit more seriously than supplying people just building their own project's. I guess they will no exactly what parts are required for thier own customers cars so mistakes would be off less occurence ect.

Cheers Matt

I appreciate that they make the gearshift cables to order, but when it is written on the paypal reciept as 8' and they send you only 7' after 5 weeks, you would expect them to try and get another one out fairly quickly.
It just shows that they really don't care about their customers.
I am just trying to save someone the disappointment of bothering.

Contact made today, should have the cable by Friday. I will get a refund of return postage plus my original postage as a goodwill gesture.
Hopefully it will all be settled this week.
