don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

They used to do kits and turn-key cars. I think now they don't supply kits any more, you can only buy them fully built.

Pinto,
Depends which model you are looking at, it varied over the history. The G32, and G33 for example were all factory built, not available as kits. The
G27 was kit form as was the G20 for a time, but actually the 75% of all G20's were factory built as it was only an extra £1000 on top of the kit
price! Going further back into history, again various models were not available as kits. Which model you thinking of?
Ginetta don't make kits anymore at all.

Yes.
£45,000 plus VAT although development of the road car is on hold due to the economic climate. A new car is on it's way and will be released
later this year - smaller than the G50 and will be a definite road car - called the G40.

Hi grazzledazzle
Just looking at a 21

But would want more power
so that's why i was asking if they are classed as kit cars
As it seems no problem with insurance company's
if its a kit car to change engine

Don't think you will have any problem. A couple n the club have fitted 2.9 cosworth V6s. If you do an internet search their is a website
detailing one of them i think.
