How Much?

LOL... this car was up for sale at £10k from PureLotus until fairly recently (and they had it for at least a year at that price with no takers!).

So Marcus Fothergill Specialist Cars has acquired it and they now want twice as much???

Might be an idea if they didn't advertise it in the same forums as PureLotus so aggressively did!

LINKY

No doubt a nice bit of kit, but come on...

And it accelerates from 0-60MPH in the same time as the Blackbird bike does. Hmmmm, wishful thinking!

I sw that when it was with Pure Lotus (Jay at Pure Lotus is a top bloke by the way - I bought my S2 Elise off him last year). Nice car and glad to see an ERA with bike engine rather than a zetec, but I thought it was a little over priced considering you can get a Jedi or OMS for a few grand less.

That was the only situation that made any sense to me! Advertise it as a toy to one of his more affluent customers with more money than sense.

It is a nice bit of kit and has obviously had a fair bit of cash thrown at it - unique too I believe - but an ERA should have a 'normal' engine and a transaxle!

And yes, Jay seems like a decent bloke - very easy going and apparently up for a straightforward deal. I just wish he would stop getting me all excited by continually running an ad for a 340r that he sold a few years ago and doesn't have in stock! T33HOT... I want it!

Maybee not as wishfull thinking as you mght imagine. If the limit of the blackbird's acceleration is its traction rather than its ability to generate power, then a couple of big fat rear tyres may make up for the weight increase to give the same acceleration figures.

The above is a thought not a statement of fact

Geoff
