I got 30, not bad, I passed my test in '87. When I passed I only got asked about 6 questions on the highway code.

P.S. My missus failed the theory twice about 18 months ago !!

31

we dont have trams around here, nor were there requirements to know about em when I passed 27 years ago, so thats a bit of a daft question.

Also, how the heck are you supposed to know stopping distance on ice- it could be either 5 7 or 10 times. I said 10. The ice I was on 2 months ago, if doing 70, id still be trying to slow down now!

31. My examiner in 1988 was more interested in my motorcycle entitlement in my licence than the highway code.

My motorcycle examiner thought the highway code was b0ll?x and it was all about your ability to be competant and safe. Fair enough.

Neil.

When I took my bike test

the examiner gave me three goes at one of the road signs. I finally got it, end of motorway regulations. He laughed at me 'cos I said I'd not been on the motorway on a bike being a learner.

hmm

I have admitted I have been a caravanner before, so Im not giving anythign away by answering this!

Caravans can 'snake' - the caravan equiv of a tank slapper.

A stabiliser is basically a rod that is connected to the caravan. At the car end is a kinda clutch arrangement - bit like a damper on an old motorcycle head stock. It has two metal disks, with a friction pad and between them and a hand screw. You control the 'stiffness' of the assembly, and therefore the abilility of the rod, and hence caravan, to move from a straight line.

Most caravanners use these.

Its a bit unfair to expect an 18 year old girlie taking her test to know what a caravan damper is!

So it's not an extra set of wheels that you take off once you've got the caravan to balance then.

Theory 2

Got 34/35 in the Theory 2 Test...

WOW!!!

So why have I had 2 accidents in 1 year? Probably the 50K/annum has something to do with it? <S>

Very good test though!!!

i got 34 on pcv test and dont think the one i got wrong was very good. the question was you arrive at the sceen of a serious accident whos safety do you put first a/ your passengers b/ your self c/ the injured d/ others i always belived your own safety came first but no its the passengers.

I've just done the bike one and got 31, but one of the question answers says you should put your bikes hazard lights on and get help. Bikes don't have hazard lights.
