Help please md-80 type camera and my computer linking

Evening all

Today i recieved my md-80 copy and have spent half the day trying to link it to my computer and have failed so i turn to you guys to guide me through.

I have 2 problems so far.

1. If i plug the camera into the laptop with the usb the camera freezes and i have to reset it

2. Now the second problem i have is that i cant get my lap top to "see" the camera.

Now i am using a micro sd card that i have taken from my phone and so has info on it already but i wouldnt have thought that would make any difference.

I got the driver cd with it and have put that on the lap top.

Please help before it finds its self flying out the window.

Many thanks
Tommy

The way I got it to work was to put the memory card back in my phone, and connect to the computer to browse the video files.

Here is my first attempt:

is it an actual MD80 or one of the cheep fakes?

I don't have any problems with mine (real one). Just be sure to switch it on on the camera and make sure that the vox is switched off. If both of the sliders are on then its in webcam mode.

I think most people tried and failed to get the PC to recognise the (Chinese) md80,there seems to be nothing of any real use on the driver cd either.

Do yourself a favour and get an SD card adaptor and read the files directly using a card reader - works without any problem. You'll also find the md80 video files are BIG, I wouldn't bother with cards less than 4Gb, will also need to be class 6 or better if you don't want jerky playback.

I got mine to work with no issues.
Install the driver on to the card thats going into the camera as the instructions state.

Give it a good charge and it should work. Never got the time sig file to work fully though!

I have also lost it now! I put it down and have lost it, they are too small!!!!

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
