Which Robust Mobile Phone
I need to replace my "pay as you go" mobile but as I now work as a self-employed handyman the screen on my my old phone got very scratched
very quickly so I could really do with something more robust.
Can't afford a fortune so do you have any suggestions?
John.

Probably outside the budget at nearly 300 squid but the Landrover S1 is military graded
and ( allegedly ) virtually indescructable.

Iphone 4. Doesn't matter how you try and break it, it still won't work if you're left handed

If you just want something straight forward & basic how about a Nokia 3720?
I've got one & so far it's been no trouble despite enduring some unplanned "tests".

Nokia 2330
I have a nokia 2330 on pay as you go, £25 or less in most phone shops witrh free minutes thrown in.
Dropped the phone plenty of times in the last 6 months with no problems to phone or screen,at the end of a shift i just hoover the paper dust out and
carry on.Nice and small easy to use nokia with bluetooth and i can even pick up my e-mails if needed.

My C702 sony ericsson has survived 2 years of abuse. Including burying in the sunny sand in Cyprus, falling into a hot bath and staying there for 30
minutes before I realised, and being through a laundry cycle.
It's rated IP56 I think (splash and dust proof) so shouldn't really have put up with all that abuse but has been brilliant.
Comes with GPS (albeit a crap one) in case you get super lost.
+1 for the Land Rover phone, the toughest thing out there at the moment and the spec isn't too basic.
However, if it's a land rover, whilst it'll probably withstand a nuclear blast, the electrics may wish to malfunction on a daily basis
(shouldn't say that working for LR, should I?)

As above - nokia 5140i. Indestructible - had mine for years now. Got a spare new one off ebay for when the worst happens (if it ever does).
