Generators
Anyone used one of these?
Machine Mart
linky
I want to power a tv and stuff in the caravan on sites with no electric hook up.
Or is it a case of you get what you pay for and at that this is just rubbish at this price.
Cheers Mark

Most campsites don't let you use generators due to noise..

Might be better with some mains inverters and leisure batteries?

These wee generators are fantastic. I've had one for 3 years now and run it for hundreds of hours.
All that went wrong was a replacement spark plug!
There is no float tickler on the carb so you have to wait 5 min after switching petrol on before starting apart from that you just use it. It is
neither quiet or noisy but too noisy to run at night on a caravan site.
I power the central heating in power cuts (live in the sticks) and use it for electric hedgecutters rather than an extension.
I only paid £30 that site seems expensive try Makro
Edit:- Just asked her indoors I was exaggerating we paid £39.99

You'd be surprised how quickly the sales people at B&Q try and assist you after ignoring you for the past 15 minutes when you try and start a

Cool, I expect cheap = noisy at a guess; the honda ones seem to have a good following (and they are not cheap).
