Smartphone owners beware
Seems dial jacking is back....long time since 98 when we had dial up and this used to happen

Smartphone owners should also keep an eye on their bill.
"Look at your billing information every month and if there are strange numbers appearing on your phone bill that might indicate that there is
some software on there that is dialling out to premium-rate lines, billing you for a service that you have not authorised," he said.

I just stick with popular apps from the iTunes store .... I think they're likely to go for Android stuff more as it will be checked less.
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.

I would be a little more vigilant
Apple currently have a major vulnerability that gives root access to the device via a very simple pdf attack. you wouldn't even know the dialer
was there (it could be possible to infect your itunes via the iphone and backup the dialer for you, so even a restore wont fix it!)
