Anyone work in Packaging Industry?

As i am moving abroad, i am looking for cardboard boxes.

My courier is giving me a good price if i can get 24X24X20" boxes.

But i cannot find anywhere.

Ebay only have the 24X24X24 and my courier doesn't allow me to use them and are very expensive.

Anyone here know where i can get some?

I need 15-20 of them

When I came over here, and did my last move in September, I went to all the supermarkets and got banana boxes.

They are brilliant. Not too big to be too heavy when full, and strong.

go to boots and ask whoever's filling the nappies up if they can save some boxes for you. from memory some of the huggies boxes are about that size. go on a saturday they'll be about 30 boxes for you by the end of the day

do the boxes have to be that exact size though?

I know where you can get an almost endless supply of empty boxes, pretty local to you but they are only 14"x9"x9".

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Thank you all for the replies.

I am pi$$ed off as my courier will charge me £16 for a box of 24X12X12 18Kg and £18 for a box of 24x24x20 45Kg.

So i need to make them as big and heavy boxes available as i have loads of things accumulated during the last 14 years.

What i wanted to avoid but might have to is to stick more than one boxes together and make up the space like that.

One thing is for sure, My back and knees will hurt as i have to move the boxes from first floor to the van, there isn't a lift and at 45kg each

Ohh well

I have just checked my stores and got nothing that big, mainly because we end up paying volumetric weight for shipping, and also our weight limit with our courier is 20kg

worth checking out the local box manufacturing companies, they might have left overs from a job? or maybe end of lines etc

I did this several years back, they just charged me the board price, was glad to get rid of them

heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it breaks, hit them with it

Humm,

Might be expensive but their are on-line companies that will make you any size box for example:

http://www.boxitmoveit.com/custom.php

We used this company for a removal box kit:

http://www.ascdirect.co.uk/box_builder.asp?gclid=CLC0hInq3KUCFQkf4QodGzqg1A

In fact £2.77 per box multiples of 25 for your size...

Cheers

Dan

may be worth asking for the heavy duty version if going to 45kg?
