OT- E readers

This is way off topic peeps but i need to try and
get some info on e readers.

My son is doing A-levels and the list of books gets ever longer,
so i would like to get one for him.
Problem is i know nowt about them, other than seeing them on TV.

I have looked on the net and i can get one for around 100 notes
in lots of high street shops. My question is this,
Has anyone got one and are they worth the money. How easy is it to
get the books and can anyone tell me the best one to buy.

As always, all your help will be greatly appreciated.

Andy

Ive just got a Kindle 3g for the dragon for chrimble for 2 reasons she reads books like theres no tommorow so after a bit of torrenting you can download 1000's of em for nowt but the added advantage is with the 3g one is the 3g is free globally so she can go on facebook when we are in France I can keep up with locost builders and it doesnt cost a bean, happy days.
Cheers,
Bob

Thing is.. for £100 I'm sure you could buy him all the 'traditional paperback' type books he needs and more to be honest.......... if you want to buy him an ipad or whatever then fair enough but I suspect buying a teenager a Kindle or the like will be a complete waste of your money. Just my opinion though obviously - got a couple of teenagers myself mind you so.....

Thanks for that info chaps. The thing is the house is filling up with his books,
as it's not just his course work stuff. He reads books like Bob's missus does,
so i do think it would be used.I also like the idea of him being able to use the
internet when we are abroad,ATM we take a laptop and buy a PAYG dongle thingy
and that cost a fortune.

cheers,

Andy
