Stolen Nobles
THREE NOBLES STOLEN IN FACTORY HEIST
Wednesday 26th January
£150,000-worth nicked but selling them won't be easy
Thieves broke into Noble Automotive’s Leicestershire HQ on Monday night, stealing three Noble cars – an M12 GTO and two M400 models, one of which was
brand new and awaiting delivery to a dealer. In total, the cars were worth £150,000.
The factory was burgled during Monday evening, and it has since been found that an out-sourced cleaning company failed to set the premises’ high-tech
alarm system, which would have alerted police immediately.
Lee Noble, the company’s MD said: “The three stolen cars were driven away from the factory in convoy. But one of the thieves lost control of the Noble
he was driving after less than a mile and the police retrieved it from a ditch. Given how unique the other two cars are, these criminals will have
extraordinary difficulty selling them on. And since the cars are not homologated elsewhere in the world, selling them overseas will not be easy.”
Noble’s sky-blue coloured press demonstrator, which has appeared in magazines and newspapers around the world, is one of the stolen cars. Its
registration is ‘M400 GTO’. The other, un-registered car is a silver-coloured model which was due for delivery to a dealer today.
Anyone with information about the stolen cars should contact Noble Automotive on 01455 844 052 immediately.

The local Porsche dealers near Cambridge had about 8 or 9 cars stolen one evening about a year or so ago, there was reports of them being driven down
the M11 in convoy at high speed , not sure if any were recovered. Seemed pretty well organised so cars probably went onto ferry very shortly after
being stolen.

Thieves drove a brand new unregistered beemer out of distribution yard up here at Thorne.
Police were immediately alerted and they just followed them in convoy at high speed until they reached outskirts of London on M1. Traffic then held
them up and thieves abandoned the car on an intersection and legged it through housing estate.
I spoke to BMW MD about it and they reckoned the thives just needed transport to the smoke!
Big hoo haa and proposed major security work for which I drafted up a plan, then they decided to save the cash and not bother

I suppose the way they look at it is, one car costs them maybe £10K - £20K and theft is a rareity. A new security system costs somewhere near this
PLUS has ongoing costs and in some part is will have to be manned. They just think that it's better to take the chance and take the loss on the
chin or claim on the insurance.
