many on here will know i took a year out and started work again in november,found out today that a member of staff has left with 4 days notice,owner of the company says its not worth continuing and will shut the company down at the end of feb!!!!!!!
only made just under £1 mil in its first year of trading

Only made a mill in the first year !!!!The boss must be a real arse wipe doesnt he know it takes time to build a business.

A lot of the companies I do work for seem to think that its a requirement of business that you start on Monday and lease a Merc on Tuesday whether they can afford it or not, they deserve to fail.

Steal the c**ts customers and go for it yourself.

ta for all your helpfulll sugestions,and you hippy,i,m "resting" tommorow and having a chinwag on friday with one of the others,trouble is i know zip about what i,m doing but its very profitable.
pete,i was doing "ground investigation"drilling holes under buildings to check subsidence and for new buildings like heathrow t5 and wembley stadium hotel,plenty work there if anyone is a qualified geoligeist

I'm a qualified geologist (I have a degree in geology anyhow if this counts). I just never practiced and ended up in the IT industry. Am I missing out on something Conrod ?

probably a bit rusty on that front now conrod. Bit of a big blag to advise people on whether their buildings are about to fall down, when you haven't looked core samples or microscope sections for over 15 years !
