Impressive bridge
It's located in southern France, and is the highest bridge in the world.
Statistics: Length: 2.5 km
Height: 280 m
The red towers you see in the photo were removed following completion of the bridge.
See: http://bridgepros.com/projects/Millau_Viaduct/
for details of location and construction.
Cheers

There was a programme on Sky showing how they built that bridge.
First they built the piers, then they assembled the road in sections on solid ground & pushed it out over the piers.
Very clever engineering.

Highest Bridge in the World
The world's highest Suspension Bridge is over a quarter of a mile long and hangs 1,053 feet (321 Meters) above the roaring Arkansas River
below.
I actually went to over this bridge on vacation 20 years ago after the TV show That's Incredible had someone bungy jump from the bridge. It
really was not as nice as the pictures make it look. It is a pure tourist trap the bridge doesn't actually go anywhere at all. But it was built
in 1929 and it must have been one heck of a job.

according to the engineering "facts" the Royal Gorge Bridge took less than 6 months to build! that is amazing.
I'll bet the cross winds on the Millau are impressive!
Every time I am on something very tall, my feet cramp. I think it is a subconscious effort to grip the floor.
