ebay problems

ebay

bought an item for £20
a month ago from a seller who had good feedback item not recieved. Was patient and contacted seller with no response. Looked today in the last month he has made his feedback private and has had 14 negatives.

I don't think I'm gonna get my item

Have you tried getting touch with ebay? As i think they pay the money back?

For what its worth....Ebay won't be interested! I know of several bods who have been ripped off and Ebay have done nothing. If you pay by Paypal, they can get you some money back.

I have one bad seller at the moment the purchase was fairly trivial so I am in two minds if it is worth chasing up because of the hassle and the risk of him leaving revenge feeback on me.

ebay has a facility where you can request the adress of the seller. Perhaps a letter explaining they will get a visit or a court summons might help?

i believe someone in thailand recently sold a magic sword for use in the world of warcraft on an auction site. The buyer got the sword but never paid the price, something around £500 (allow the usual variancies for a tale passed on far and wide by chinese whispers!).

The seller tracked him down in reality and chopped him up!

the moral, dont f%$k with someone obsessed with violent online games

Sorry, no help for you liam. maybe the seller has died? it must happen sometimes.

His account could have been taken over by someone in the last month and they have been ripping people off. What was the item? Was there a picture, did it seem a genuine sale?
