Industry placement
Hi, i'm just about to start my second year at bath uni studying Mechanical engineering and have opted for a placement year starting around july
07 for which i have to start looking now. Since i have noticed that many of you are engineers, i wondered if any of the companies you work for take on
placement students. I'm ideally looking for a year in the automotive industry (possibly motorsport or something unusual). Please contact me if
you think you can help.
Thanks, arry

Kit car workshop are looking for someone at the moment. Not specifically a placement, but you never know?
I've copied their message off of the BEC yahoo group.
As per that gfroup, theres loads of people, myself included, who'd jump at the chance, but have a real mortgage to pay!!

Do you know anyone ?
I am looking for a mechanic/engineer to join our interesting and unusual business.
Please check out our web site for more information about what we do. www.FisherSportsCars.co.uk
I would have no objection to taking on a real enthusiast who needs some training, or a youngster who is interested in kit cars & motorsport and is
prepared to put in the time and effort to develop their skills in this interesting industry. The rates of pay are not brilliant, but the work is far
from routine and can be extremely rewarding and interesting.
The industry is in something of a slump at present, with new kit sales being well down on 2 years ago, but it is now showing some signs of recovery
and the potential for the future is good.
In any case, I have 4 months advance bookings in the workshop and I am having to turn away work every day.
If you think you may know someone who could be interested in joining us, please let them know that there is an opportunity available.
Thanks
