I'm very involved with music. In fact, it's clear to me that music is the only reason why I don't plan to start any car building
project in the near future. I spend quite some time studying daily, and play in bands.
Alister, I think those two songs are really good.
Alez,

Thanks very much. Have you got any mp3s for downloading? Oh and what instrument do you play?
Cheers

I have been building a live steam loco for the last 20 years and am planning on getting a bit more done to it this winter. I also have a model gas
turbine aero engine that I was building before i started the car to finish .
My mountain bike hasnt seen the road for the last year, I also used to shoot in an air rifle league when i could find the time.
My MGB is seriously neglected having stood in the back garden for the last 4 years.
My main priority at ther moment is some DIY to get back on the wifes good side, before i dissappear back into the workshop in the spring.

Great thread!
I used to race 1/10th off road model cars alot more than I do now. I used to go to local club meetings, regional events, national events, and even the
euro championship once!
Just been doing the regionals since started building the car, and I think I've actually improved! I finished second in the North East regional
championship (4wd) this year and nearly won it!
It was a great feeling turning up at the first event, finishing third, and beating a load of guys that had been racing week in, week out for the last
six months while I was in the garage!

Website under construction. Help greatfully received as I don't really know what I'm doing!

I had a similar experience this weekend - took the kart out of the rafters, slapped a motor on it, found a carb in a box,and went racing in the annual
one hour end of season enduro. Ran well, we call it "off the trailer, on the pace!"

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

1/10 scale stadium trucks, 1/10 on road, plus I used to spend alot trying to strap large model rocket engine to rc cars and I devised a 3 stage
procedure for shooting them off in sequence.
Mountain biking, havn't really dont too much of that either.
the wife's been pretty neglected.
Although strangely enough I have found more time to go to the gym, and I find myself riding my motorcycle alot more.

i used to like r/c airplanes and helis, but packed that in to fund buying my chassis for the car - once i get an idea into my head, i have to see it
through.
pity they always get more and more expensive!

going down the pub with mates - is that a hobbie?
Is that because you need to be the sort of person who like doing things on his own, and also be a bit bloody minded, to put up with the aggravations
of building a car yourself?
I don't know about that - I play hockey at a pretty competitive level.
On the other hand, that car has been sitting out there for a while

Stupidly bought a Streak Shadow this time last year. Moved house recently, and we're in the middle of planning an extension to the new abode, so
everything seems to have come to a halt.
