A Feelgood Moment

Had to post this as my wife didnt get the point

Took my Phaeton to work today (Appreciate they are not to everyones taste!) and on my way home Im sat in traffic between a new range-rover in front and a new Porsche Behind (im guessing a hundred grands between the two).

three teenagers walking past say "Wicked car mate" to me!!! I was grinning all the way home in my thousand pound motor (Hopefully they wernt taking the mickey!!!)

made the skinned knuckles and ballache of the rebuild all worth while...

It's great isn't it, I had a complete stranger (over 60's club) walk over to my car one day, whilst waiting to park, who then started to polish my wing mirrors for me. Bless him. then the conversations started, nearly lost my parking space.

Yep me too....

I pulled into a filling station in Cambridge, and a chap just finished filling his Porsche 911 walked over and said "Nice car mate"
I took it as a compliment.

I get a fair few comments about the car..
I think its cos its different.

I have also had young (20's) females look and give me a brill look and smile, and even a wave sometimes.

Its a damn good job I dont have a windscreen, as with the Helmet on and the Visor down, then cant see I'm an ageing and greying old fart pushing 60, that they wouldnt look once at, let alone twice!

It does me a power of good

Yer cant beat a kit car for all this.... and its priceless... you cant buy it (only the car!)

...and all I got today was a wave from a bloke in a Transit!

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

I never realised how many Phaeton's were left!

But I'll agree even with it on the trailer I get waves, smiles, flashes - out of junctions
