rules on video camera mount
what are the rules on mounting my video camera at oulton park trackday,i have made a mount my self ,is this ok or does it have to be one say fia
aproved or something.

its only a camera mount, not any safety thing. it'll be fine

I think some track day organisers will want to inspect the mount and issue a tag to say it's ok. They might want to see a tether so it
doesn't fly off if the mount gives way. Most don't like sucker type mounts on the external body work.
...and flying cameras are a safety issue at +100mph!

as above ive got a home made one with no problems at snetterton or cadwell, they do look but think as long as its fitted firmly no gaffa tape or cable
ties should be ok

thanks for that,i have made one now,hope it will be ok,i can get hold of it and rock the car and the camera doesnt move.
