OT... Powered Mic

The MP4 recorder I have for my bullet cam will only record sound from a powered source (TV etc), not a mircophone. Does anyone know when I can get a decentish 12v powered mic from so I can record sound with my vids?

THanks
Shaun

Most mics use phantom power from the system they're plugged into (usually a mixing desk), don't know where you could get a 12v mic - I would guess an archos is the easiest solution to the in-car camera as they have action camera and mic attachments for them. Good luck in finding something suitable. Tom

Google "pre-amp", that'll give you what you need to boost the mic signal to line level.

line level signal is what you need, not phantom power!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
