Tour of Britain bike race
Has anyone been/going to any of the stages?
Surprised it's not been mentioned given the number of cyclists on here.
Me going on Sat to London stage. Taking bike on train to London, watch racing, then cycle home (all 36 miles )

They passed my work place on Saturday, I tried to stop them as my insurance clearly states racing on public roads is illegal.
Bloody motor bikes with hooligans on the back facing the rear with big camera's,,,,,,illegal. cars handing drinks to bike riders
,,,ilegal,,,,,,How do they get away with it. If kit car drivers acted like this they would be arrested and rightly so.
And as for the clothes they were wearing, well they looked like mobile advertising hordings with strange bulges, our young secretary went all goose
bumps.

Where did that go?

They went through my village (Wray) on Sunday. I didn't get to see it unfortunately, but my mum did - apparently it went through really quite
quickly though she said the peloton looked impressive.

tell me about it. I onve went to Belgium to watch the TDF - spent all day getting htere, then an hour finding a spot. the leading bunch went past in
about 20 seconds and that was it, apart from waiting for the straglgers.
they do 30 mph without raising a sweat, better watch the time trial or on t'telly.

I rode out to watch Blackpool/Blackpool stage on Tuesday, great day riding in the Trough of Bowland then stopped to watch them come over Waddington
Fell.
Great event, also great to see the rolling road block seems to be working this year.
