Engine identification help.

Gents, I hope you may be able to assist me in identifying an engine. It's from the weed cutting boat at my rowing club and we need to givce it a once-over after a bunch of prats sank the boat during this summers regatta. The chappie who looks after the boat has been told it's probably a Mitsubuishi diesel by a firm who operate these boats as a business, but I'd really like to find out the make/model so we can get a manual. Please take a look at the piccies and see if it rings any bells.

This is a closeup of the injector pump and the numbers cast into it. The pump body is part of the engine block casting.

This is the only number I could find on the engine block itself.

Please ignore the VW Audi-logo'd bit in this pic, it was a scrapyard 'yeah that'll fit' job to get the preheaters working!

Thanks gents (keeping my fingers crossed).
