Very envious.....
Just had a customer in my shop - antique dealer - got talking cars, as you do.
So he gets out his phone and shows me the two cars he races. Porsche 917 and GT40, both original, both in Gulf colours who sponsor him.
Bloody hell...........
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Damn right, I would be lost without mine. Mind you not as good as the LWB Landy with the full length roofrack and a 3 ton capacity trailer behind.
With both my lads at Uni this year, its amazing how the volvo has coped with the 450 mile (and a 340 mile) round trip laden to the gunwhales with
student gear!
Good old busses, all except for the 26mpg.
Will get a diesel one next time round.
EDIT:
I have even bought a genuine Harris Tweed Flat cap to wear when driving the Volvo.
One has to look the part when driving a Volvo.

The thread starts out as being about 917's and GT40's and you turn it into an appreciation of Volvo estates thread!
Sad, very sad.
