Suspension specialist in Birmingham

Can anyone recommend me a suspension specialist in or around Birmingham? I'm looking for a diagnostic machine to test my cars springing, damping and general movement (not a seven).

Procomp?

ETA I've visited his workshop and he's one of the few to have his own shock dyno. For me that says he's your best choice. Plus his reputation.

They have a CAR shock dyno? I imagined that they had a little thing for just the shock.

A machine that characterises a shock absorber.

Ah, right. I know from trying that the rear shocks are not coming off without the aid if a drill and dynamite. I've been told be someone in Sheffield of a place there that he used a few years ago but can't remember the name. Its also a bit far to go. He had the whole car on it and it bounced and turned the wheels to characterise the whole suspension system. It pretty much told him what the problem was just after the bouncing test.

Funny you should say that, despite this thread saying that they don't have a whole car rig to do the job

I've read the thread and am surprised no one has mentioned procomp in erdington. Lovely bunch to deal with and will sort out your problem once you get the shocks off in no time.

That I'd like to see. Freeing oil, welding heat and a very long bar on a socket over several days have failed to budge either nut or bolt on the rear. Once I've finished using the garage as a spray booth, they car will go in there and I'll be getting the nut splitter on it, then the grinder, then the drill and then the dremel. I'm pretty sure the bolt has rusted to the bush sleeve and the bush is not a replaceable part. They'll come off but it will be a fight.
