Very nice and I think it looks quite funky too!
Wouldnt like to try and take off from a normal road though, whenever I used to foot launch my paramotor it was always kinda random which way I'd
end up facing 
Hmm, makes me wonder - Any other Locoster paramotorists out there??
Oh, you'd also need a microlight licence for that which is a real bummer

50k is a lot, your right about taking off i think that would be a bit scary.
never tried paramotoring but would give it a go if i had the chance

Got me Microlight licence so thats not a problem £50K though, Hmmmm paramotor, now thats seriously got me thinking, is it still unregulated.

Yup, anything foot launches is still unregulated.

Saying that, I havn't actually flown a for a fair while, hopefully it's like riding a bike!
Did about 8 hours of a microlight training before an illness made me stop - biggest regret I have is never taking it up again

Might very well have a go of that, got my PPLA and microlight licence but with both your very restricted. With PPLA used to drive a hour and half to
the field, fly to a field someplace else have a brew and a bacon butty fly back and drive a hour and a half back home. They must have been the most
expensive bacon sandwiches this side of the black stump, pointless.
Microlighting was basically the same as above but factoring in hangar, certification charges and the weather the amount of amount of flying time you
got a year wasnt worth it.
With a paramotor I can walk to the field at the end of my road and have a pootle around for a bit.

I like that car, the squared off shroud on the back makes it look more like a car which happens to have a motor on the back rather than a car which
someone has strapped an oversize desktop fan onto....

Bob, as a flyer already you'd probably pick it up very very quickly, if you go for training I'd suggest not going to one of the majority
that charge you a couple of thousand for a paraglider course than another thousand for conversion to powered flight.
The guy I went to in Huntingdon just taught with the motor straight away, I think it cost me £800 for all you need to get off the floor and took about
4 days.
There do seem to be a lot of clubs trying to rake money off you for long, drawn out courses that simply don't seem to be needed.
Think I'm going to have to get some top-up training as tried again this morning (4 year break!) after it got in my head last night and I cant
even get the canopy up and running straight properly any more, damn useless I am
Oh, when I was starting out I practiced a bit on my own, bought a ratty old canopy for this as I didnt want to ruin a good one dragging it around a
field all day - you're welcome to it (you'd need a training harness) if you want try the feel of them.
No doubt you could probably just buy the whole proper kit and take off without any training, I was too much of a scaredy cat though, lol.
PS. training seems to involve lots of running around on the ground controlling the canopy, when you do this with 30kg of engine on your back it soon
gets very tiring!

The only thing that would worry me is deflation of the canopy, the CAA accident report used to be 30 pages of PPLA incidents, 1 page of microlight,
1/2 page of hanglider and 6 pages of paragliders most of which ended up with broken ankles.

I can't see how that gets in the air... There's a flying car on firebox for about £250k and at 28mpg doesn't sound too bad to me,
seats 4 too!
