What Fridge Freezer?
We need to buy a new fridge freezer. The old one always stuggled in the winter because it is kept in an unheated room. When the temperature fell to
about 2°C The thermostat (in the fridge bit) never tripped so the whole thing never switched on. Then the freezer would defrost.
What kind of Fridge Freezer do we need to over come this? We don't have space for separate units and there's nowhere else to put it.

You either need one with separate compressors for fridge and freezer (or put a fridge on top of a freezer) or one with a single compressor, but that
does not feature the same problem as your current one. Our Hotpoint frost-free has a single compressor, controlled by a sensor in the freezer, another
sensor in the fridge, a sensor on the internal piping and a fan and motorised flap - the fridge is effectively cooled by using the fan and flap to
circulate air from the freezer to the fridge, turning on the compressor when either the freezer or the pipework is too warm.

Yes, ditto above, ours is exactly the same, mind you bloody great big thing, my misses has to use a set of folding steps to reach the top shelf, (but
then she is a little short arse thing). Just for info its a Hotpoint FF200L. Cheers Ray
