W/O Historic Maps
Way off topic here, but does anyone know a website where you can view / print old maps from?
I'm sure I've seen a site before, but lost it from my bookmarks when the hard drive went. I can now find loads of sites that want to
charge you to download, or print out the maps?

I order historic maps on at least a weekly basis. Typically I use Landmark or Emap. The only real way to get them cheap or free is via the Bodlian
Library or the library close to you. Where do you need maps for?

Actually this is good if a screen shot or print screen will do you.

Just been down the local archives. Got talking to the guy in there, and he was really helpful.
Found an old map that showed the fields, old farms, wells and coal mine that were here before they built the houses.
Then found a set of street plans from 1901 showing the streets as built.
Then he managed to find the original plans for my house, including all the elevations / sections / building control application etc etc.
