My dad got a god deal from a gym that was upgrading their stock, whilst used these are usually well built, and probally will go for a good price.

the pro units are generally really heavy so locotion can be a problem, ideal in a garage. Take note of the overall heigh and make sure you have clearance with the ceiling

i am also considering a weight set up.i am a regular gym user but am wanting to save on my monthly outgoings. free weights are far better than machine/pulleys. i would get a decent bench with a weight stand,so you can do squats, shrugs, bench presses, fly's.then some bells, bar and a few weights.

My recommendation would be buy 2nd hand.

99% of these get used once or twice then never again.... they go soooo cheaply 2nd hand- save your £300!!!

You don't say if you're a regular gym user already, but if not, I would see how often you use a normal gym first before you invest in stuff for the home.

Cheers,
James
