Sierra found in scrapyard Southampton area
On my trip to silverlake, out by botley, there was a 2L dohc sierra with diff, drive shafts, rear discs, front up rights, and it looked like most of
the inside was still there as well.
No idea how much they want for it as just saw it at the last moment.

We have a complete low milage MK2 Escort in our yard for breaking at the mo
Broke my heart to see it drive into its final destination.. currently sat awaiting its date with the crusher - which has to happen - and will as soon
as the bits that are worth saving are taken off and sold :-(
I guess the scrappage scheme is going to bring the last of the donors in and worth keeping an eye out at these places

I take it that once it's been submitted for "The Scheme" it's irreversible then ?

Yup, according to my bosses its a one way trip after that with no legal loophole to sneak through :-(
Why they didn't just try and sell it is a mystery to me, though gauging by the condition of the car they were more than likely old, had a
garage, only used it on a Sunday to feed the ducks a few feet away from their house, never took it out in the wet and had a garage look after it
regularly
(had a good look round it and no signs of any weld repairs to sills/wings /struts or any of the usual places)
they must be completely oblivious to what the car was worth and blissfully un aware of eBay or Pistonheads
I bet whoever serviced/MOT'd the car is in for a shock when they turn up in their new piece of French cack....wonder if he will have the heart
to point out their blunder?
the salesman who pulled this stunt must have had zero conscience...hope he pulls a muscle playing with the WII he will no doubt go out and buy with
his bonus
I would have been happier being stuck behind "Doris and Fred" in something I regard as a classic, which would help keep my blood pressure
down and would have even earned a nod of aproval or a wave as I overtook...now they join the rest of the hords of anonymous crap car and flat cap
brigade that are always in the bloody way/holding traffic up/indicating the opposite way to the direction they are going/in the wrong lane/out to kill
me/SMIDSY/etc etc etc
Semi rant over
Regards
