If it's a tintop then yes, but it's not cheap.

I would have thought all you need is a valid insurance certificate. So probably.

Sometime they dont like it when things are about to expire. So it might be worth going into your local Post Office and asking !

The last temp policy I had specifically stated that it could NOT be used for taking out tax!

+1, in fact most of the ones I've used specify you can't use it to tax a vehicle, iirc they also specify that someone has to have a full
policy in force too...
