To skpye guru's what's the best mic / phone
Hi
Bit off topic.
Just set up a skype account.
But my speaker mic setup does not sound great.
So, whats my best option?
headset/mic
or USB phone
or something else.
Thanks in advance Martin.

I use skype for hours a day and have broken many headsets, until this:

/>
would recommend it thoroughly - crystal clear sound and wireless is a boon, as is the mute function on the ear....
Apart from that have a polycom communicator for conference work, but its only so-so...

Bit out of my budget at moment.
Will only have the occasional use for now.
But does look like a good bet if kit

If you have a decent bluetooth headset for driving you could give that a go ?

A few of my mates swear by Beyerdynamic DT234 Pros, used to be able to pick them up for about £40

And Skype is by no means the cheapest either. I've been using:
Voipcheap.com
for years now, and last time I looked it was still much cheaper than Skype. As long as you buy £10 credit you can call most landlines abroad free for
3 months, I call my mate on his mobile in France - cost me about 7 cents a minute.
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.
