If I were Button and had that chance I'd probably take it - this season Brawn did well but judging by McLarens improved performance and the
budget they have available to them, I suspect it's back to business as usual next year.
However, I reckon it's all political wrangling to get Brawn to pay the money to Button and Raikonen to give an answer to McLaren.
From McLarens point of view, either Button or Raikonen will be needed if they are to land another constructors title, since Kovaleinen just
doesn't look like he's ever going to make an impact on the points table - they need both drivers to be consistant high scorers, not just
one

Highly unlikely -- Norbert Haug has stated they won't start a bidding war.
Button always makes a dogs breakfast of it when it comes to contract renewal.

That was before he became world champ. I bet he gets better this time round!

I don't know if Jenson will be better at negotiating this year but I do think that he will be greedier which will cause problems. Brawn
can't afford him even at the 10mil he was on at Honda before his pay cut. Now he carries the No 1 on his car the bidding goes up and Brawn have
the least of all of the contenders.
It will be interesting to see how much Mercedes pump into Brawn!
