that instant momonet of realisation - so funny
Hi All
Just had to share this with some one.
at work today, you know how it is email tennis goes on and they hit reply all instead of reply.
well i get copied in a lot of high level emails (mostly by accident)
anyway.
there have been some ongoing discussion about a supplier change.
I know that in this email distribution list is our VP, SVP and numerous directors.
Unfortunatley the "new" buyer didn't
the response they made, directed to the VP, copied to all an sundry read loosely as follows
"Don't you know anything about change managment, how can you expect the XXXXXXX (supplier) to do that, you really need to learn how hard
my job is!"
I just looked behind me, when the VP walked down to there desk, and gave them his business card.
UTTERLEY PRICELESS

ha ha quality
similar thing, though not as bad happened at RBS. someone from ulsterbank was doing a charity nite thing, sent an email to the whole address book
thanking, what was really just about 10 people for turning up. they had an email conversation with each other, which ended up clogging the WHOLE
system up all day, as it was sent to EVERYONE in the RBS groupe, RBS, nat west, ulster, churchill, tesco finance, bank of chine, ABN amro, all the
branches, bosses etc. every time, every one hit reply to all, it all happened again. brilliant

at one time the company offered free premuim adult channels to the staff to test the new pay2 view systems billing ect before it went live.....well
there was a good response to the offer but the idiots pressed reply all which generated a global email of 14000 copies x exnumber of ID10ts.
Clogged up the system for days........the suprising bit was that some of the most quiet types replied. oh how we laughed that day

Nope, both the last two UK companies I've worked for had SVP's and VP's (one had EVP's - Executive Vice Presidents as
well).
In the UK it doesn't tend to get expanded in the same way as the US.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
