Why am I speshul?
ebay have sent me 10% off voucher (max discount £ 70!) due to outage on sat 21 Nov.
Anyone else got one?

I had one, but the item I wanted to buy ended the day after

Yes I got one, had a £900 item ending during the eBay farce, if I cancel the sale the buyer gets ione too....

ok, i am trying to figure out what is the reasonebay are doing this - I may have had some items I was bidding/watching ending during that time and/or
tried to log on during that time (had nothing listed for selling).
seems to be a nice gesture.

I'm more speshul than you! I grassed up a horrendously blatant shill bidder and they thanked me and gave me a speshul phone number I can ring
for speshul technical support. I'm not allowed to tell anybody the speshul phone number.

someone who bids up (or gets a friend to bid up) their own auction so it finishes at a higher price.
Advantages: if you or your friend wins then you've not lost out on anything, just relist.
your shill bidding my dupe someone else into a bidding war, and they end up paying more than they would have done if you werent involved
Disadvantages: its ILLEGAL.
