OT - LR Discovery Problem
I've got a '95 LR Discovery 300TDi Auto. It's been a real PITA to start lately and getting worse. Seems to run on 2 or 3 cylinders
for a while then eventually picks up on all 4. Tonight it wouldn't start for ages, when it did it only runs on 3 it seems, and piles loads of
unburnt diesel out the pipe
It's had all new filters and engine oil as well as new glow plugs around 1500 miles ago.
I've also noticed that it seemed a little down on power lately too.
Any diesel experts out there with any ideas?
JB
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

Purely on the starting front we found with our 300tdi its best to turn over for 3 or 4 seconds without the glow plugs to get the compression up and
then use glow and start - always clouds of smoke though!

It's probably the injectors, have you ever put any cleaner through ? It sounds a bit late now though and you'll need to take them out and
get them done. EGR valve is a good option as well and better off gone.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
