Details wanted of - the ATV in the Aliens movie
Does anyone have any links to a site(s) with pics or vids of the ATV in the aliens movie (on now on Film4+1).
I think I'd like to make a copy of it on a simple RC base, but make it an exact copy if I could. It would be for a project over a long period of
time if necessary and won't be starting it until april/may/june time because of current project, so have loads of time to researcg, just thought
if someone had a insight, I'd love to hear of it!
Also, I am sure they are going to mention the name of it any second, but I don't recall it from watching previously and usually I would, so
what's it called???
Cheers in advance!
Steve

Thanks for the links, once you'd pt the first one up, they just said it was the APC in the film, too
Just searching for Aliens APC has come up with loads of stuff as you now know, including other people's scratch builds. I knew that it would be
something heavily copied/made before, but I still fancy it! And if I could get a cheap RC car and model it on that, with extra servos for the gun
turret and gun slide, I think it would be cool!
Cheers!

Yep, seems a popular thing for cgi students to practice on.
Getting the gun turret doing the folding down the back thing would be rather cool.
Have fun building it.

It has quite a high level of detail and then at 2.30 he opens the slide door - hoof, he's put some time into that!!!

The specifications in the first link would be a reasonable start for scale.
