Iplayer on Wii

Just downloaded the new version of this.
Our wii is connected to the web via wifi so we can already use the web browser, which isn't wonderfull.

The new version of iplayer is full screen and is a standalone app.
Iplayers on the computer is ok, I suppose.
Iplayer on your telly without needing a computer to do it is even better.

Best of all, it's free.

Downoad it via the wii shop on your wii after making sure it can connect to the interweb first.

didn't realise it was now on the Wii. It is on the PS3 as well. Suppose the BBC are trying to open the market audience up to their programs.

Yep they are trying to promote BBC Canvas long term as the single method of watching programs over the internet.

BBC iPlayer is out for practically anything 'cept the Xbox 360 as MS wanted it to only be avaliable for Xbox Live Gold subscriptions and not Silver (the free version). I don't think think MS really understand the BBC.

Have installed iPlayer on my new Wii - really watchable, can't fault it!

I watched two 1 Hours programmes with it and it didn't buffer or stutter once. Freeview picture quality too - spot on.

Stopped working on my PS3 - just hangs when I try and start a video. Anyone know why? Works great on the Wii though!
