Generator trouble
I have a Pro User 2.3kw geberator i got from Macro a couple of years ago, that i have used a few times.
Its been sitting in my cold garage for a while so thought i would give it a run to get the oil round it. First i found it was jammed and had to tease
the enine to turn, then when i got it going after a few seconds quite a lot of pertol stated to come out the OHV cover.
I removed the cover thinking it might be coming through a stuck valve and found it comming from a drilling to the centre of the engine, assume the
carb.
I know its not a two stroke as it has sperate oil in sump you do not have to mix oil in the petrol. Before i rip it apart do any of you have ideas.
As it not too cold now i assume it is not worth letting it warm up but is only idea i have come up with so far.

I had a similar problem with one I bought from macro dont know which model. The fuel tap had cracked where it enters the tank and was dripping onto
the carb.

cheers i will have look tomorrow, but am now thinking it must to a float valve or something in the carb that is sticking and causing it to flood.
Might have to take the tank off to have a look.
