If you go into App Store on the iphone and choose catergories. Then select a catergory. Press on "Top Free" you see what people think of
the best ones.
Not sure theres really many good car related ones tho.

Tomtom, expensive but works well! You do need to get a second battery recharge system and a car charging lead the batteries are rubbish when you use
the iPhone intensively. Skype if you use this on your main machine, Showtimes if you want to find out what is on locally at the movies, Red Laser if
you want to scan barcodes, Scanner pro so you can use the iphone as a scanner to send docs or load them onto you r main machine, it is quicker than a
flatbed scanner! 0870 for a reverse look up of charging numbers where there is an associated normal line, UK Numbers for a reverse look up of area
codes so you know where people are when they advertise, Cat Pianl jr. to wind up cats and dogs
