Nut and Bolts Supplier Lincoln/Gainsborough
Any one know of a fastner dealer in Gainsborough/Lincoln Area?
If not it might be namrick (ouch expsensive) or the so called 8.8 grade screwfix specials!

Have you tried TMS opposite jacksons building centre in Gainsborough. BAPPs for bolts are alot better though, they are in scunthorpe.

Why 'so called'? they are marked 8.8 and cut like 8.8 with a hacksaw. If the were fake a company like screwfix would be sued to their
knees if anyone got hurt.

Well because generally people on here say things like 'screwfix stuff is made of cheese'. This scares me a little. I cannot verify these
claims

People say B&Q made of cheese (and mild cheddar at that).
Some other people assume Screwfix stuff will be crap as it's cheap, but their HS bolts are correctly marked for 8.8. They're taking a big
risk if it is faked.

Orbital fasteners in Watford are very reasonable.
Not sure how far they deliver though.

Even the big aircraft manufacturers and maintainers are having trouble with dodgy counterfeit nuts and bolts, so Screwfix has no chance!
Saying that, I use their fasteners for most non-critical jobs (I used AN grade for my suspension - aircraft-rated jobs - but if you refer back to the
first paragraph... er... )

You beat me to it - another big vote from me for Fixfirm. My car is mostly put together with bolts from them.

I got mine from
FastFix as well. Was very impressed with both price and delivery times.
I also got my girlfriends dad to test a few for me, he's head engineer at a well know aviation engineering firm (I won't say which) and he
confirmed that they are correctly rated.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will give a few a try. Cheers guys!
Incidently I know of Fixfirm and have order many fittings from them in the past for the business I work for. We now refuse to use them do to their
terrible customer service. Broken promises concerning delivery dates and lying about there stock levels.

I have no experience of Fixfirm's mail order service, everything I got was directly from the sales counter and I was always very impressed, even
when I only wanted 2 or 3 specific bolts.
