Whats worse is when they write things unrelated to the item so they come up in searchs that they souldn't.

To be fair the word, wow, writen down, usually annoys me.

But who in there right mind would search ebay to buy an Item called L@@K or WOW, you would search for FORD or IPHONE or something.....

This makes no difference now anyway as ebay has changed their search criteria. Type in a word and search and you will also get loads of results without that word in the description. I have searched for a way to turn this off but not found it so far.
I used to look for certain items, I used to get about 200 results, now the same word gives me over 5000. Usually all just crap from 'sellers shops' that are in blocks of 100 of the same advert.

I remember when ebay used to be good

All thos inane words, if they can be called that wind me up, why cant people just describe what they are selling??

Also telling me its a bargain is no good, I will decide whether I consider it a bargain.

But as above, I too, am officially a grumpy!!

I freely admit to being a grumpy old man! I can't wait until I'll officially an old fart who drives everywhere at 25mph!

... but I never bother to read anything in txt-speak - if they can't be bothered to write English, I can't be bothered to read it. I don't object to a bit of txt-speak in SMS messages, simply because of the space limitations, as long as it's not too extreme (e.g. '4' instead of 'for', 'u' instead of 'you' ).

Lol... forgot about the 'RARE".

How about when a vendor tells you in his ad (as many do) that their vehicle is the 'best colour'??? Errr, I'll be the judge of that!

I really dislike vague adverts with terrible spelling.

this is a great example, though they have managed to spell the half sentance they have written correctly...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I hate it when people write "lol" thats one of the most annoying phrases ever! Whats worse is that I've heard people actually say "lol", you wouldn't believe how much will power it took to keep my fist from the back of his head!

lol!

i say it, along with "f.y.i", "t.b.h" and even "i.m.h.o." on occasion.

almost but not quite as entertaining as driving around with my (front) foglights on.

btw, I think you've all got the winter malady... same as last year, these threads start appearing thick and fast in jan/feb as people get grumpier waiting for summer!

I hate ebay adverts when they write the description in big coloured letters or all capitals like

[url=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TRIUMPH-TT-600-FUEL-PETROL-GAS-TANK_W0QQitemZ290382131017QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item439c1faf49]this[/u rl].
How are you supposed to read through unless your monitor is as big as a bus.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

You ever go through the cars section of eBay? Its full of cars that are being sold with options never available to them, things like seat belt pretentioners and ABS, stuff that not likely to have been retrofitted.
