Accident claims... help
I had a very very minor carpark bump in June last year.... I was stationary, some woman drove into me... Damage was payed for by the insurance
company... was more or less just paint damage...
Settled by her insurance.. no problems...
But today I get a call out of the blue from a company saying " we have money set aside to give you" can we process a claim for you... they
had all my details etc...
During the course of the conversation they were basically making out that I had obviously been injured etc and therefore I could put through a
claim... He told me that their medical examinor would be in touch but I should tell them that I had pain in the neck etc to make sure the claim goes
through...
Im sorry... but how is that legal.....
Yes, £1500 would be nice, but im not going to lie my way to it... its going to hit everyone elses premiums etc...
Im actually quite annoyed... but because it was such a "hard sell" call, I didnt say no and hang up.... I was curious..... anyway... when
they try and call to arange for me to meet their solicitor/salesman and their medical examinor I am going to give them the finger and possibly a fist
for being bottom feeders..
They claim its all NO Win No fee...and that they make no commision..... well that just makes no business sence... so how do they proffit?
Anyone else had this?

the only reason they do that is they no if you put a claim in yourself you could get more so they try to fob you off with a small amount.

They make their money by claiming costs from the other party. Medical examination plus solicitors costs they probably get a lot more than you do.

You could always invite them round and hide a video camera somewhere then get them to outright ask you to lie after explaining "but i really
wasn't hurt", I'm sure that kind of film would be useful to the authorities to shut such firms down?

I like that! Better still sell the footage to Channel 4 - make your money legitimately & nail the b*stards!
Firms like this will get us all higher insurance premiums & when they operate their scams on hospital patients who've had minor problems
they'll finish up bringing down the National Health Service!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

I was called quite a few times asking/telling me the same things, and just ignored it, but wished that I'd at least let them come round to
"check me over", at which point, I was going to be fine and have just wasted their time and money...

Frankly I'd contact the Police, they're asking you to make a fraudulent insurance claim, people can go to jail for that. I work for an
insurance company (I know, I know, but it pays the bills), we would go after someone if we found them doing that. Ambulance chasing is one thing what
they're doing is way past that. Whatever you do don't make the claim, it could come back to haunt you, seriously I'd get in touch
with the boys in blue. Don't forget it people like that who push all of our premiums up.

I had an accident in work and went to a&e for a couple of stitches. when the medics asked how i did it, i told them i was using the wrong tool for
the job, trying to get the job done quickly. two weeks later i get a phone call from a no win no fee solicitor saying that one of my colleagues had
passed my details on to them with regards to a claim i could make against my employers!
Thing is, i hadn't told anyone about it and in my case, i am my employer.
the only way they could have found out is if someone at the hospital sold them my details and gave them my mobile number.
personally I'd tell them to f&$k 0ff. its the no win no fee brigade that make an unreasonable claim at every oportunity that are bumping up
our insurance premiums. b@stards

Buying your details from the hospital is downright disgusing, where will it stop............ Buying your medical history?????
My GF hit a wall in a moderate speed parking inciudent in Late october last year, non injuries apart form her pride (and her pride and joy!) and this
week she has had 2 texts saying there is upto £3200 for her to claim should she want to take it further.............
WTF what would she be claiming for and against whom, there were no other parties involved apart from a static wall that has been there for decades!

already raised it as a complaint to the hospital, but as they said there would be no way of knowing the individual in question unless the solicitors
would give up their source, which they have refused to do. I have been on the losing side of litigation before and don't fancy the chance of it
again so i have let the matter go.
just terrifying to think what people can find out about you if try...

And the hospital don't want to know/ain't interested??
Something far wrong there
