Small projects?
What choices are out there for a very small project, absolutely not road legal? I couldn't spend much time on anything, but I was kind of
dreaming about starting welding something next winter, maybe one of those off road buggies as per Ron Champion's book here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1859606423/ref=sr_aps_books_1_2/026-5579448-3869210
BTW, that particular book is not getting very good reviews, what is your opinion?
There's also the Terrapin, really nice and appealing project but maybe it's just too big of a project for my situation and (lack of)
experience.
Any others? I would be more interested in building from plans rather than from a kit, so I'd keep the cost (and the amount of crap in my garage)
to a minimum in case I never finish it.

Alez,
I was wondering when you were going to get the building bug! How about a VW-powered sand rail?
A good-looking book:

I think this is a nice-looking chassis design for US$20:

how about The edge. They do some "small low powered toys" and sell plans. I made there piranha from the
plans and it is cool

Hey Chris do you have any pictures of your buggy? How much would one of these cost to make?
7 out of 10 people suffer with hemorrhoids. Does that mean the other 3 enjoy them?

That's a sharp little buggy!
I should give up posting; whenever I blurt something out, somebody else comes up with something much better before very long
