Eco building world tour

On grand designs/some other program a couple of times in the past they have looked at interesting building projects in various places around the world...

House made form tyres, eco houses etc... Sometimes they mention that the workers who help build the houses travel around the world stopping at these project houses and help out for the fun/experience etc... no pay, but food and a bed...

I would quite like to do something similar for a few years...

Anyone know of any forums etc where I mght be able to find out about projects and meet up with other people who travel about helping build eco houses etc?

And no.. im not a hippy... I am just fedup with an office job!

Interesting house in Navada desert, they made it from beer bottles, fantastic insulation from rubbish!

Building houses from straw looks good, but how do you get through building regs... Have you a broad minded local council? are you outside of town planning rules, when you get in the country it all gets very much harder.
