Blatant begging.... for a good cause : Macmillan

My Wife will be running the London Marathon this year, and is hoping to raise some money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I don't usually like asking for sponsorship, especially from people I don't know, but in this case I'm going to make an exception

If you could spare a few £s to sponsor her, she would be very grateful.

The heart-wrenching bit :
Jo lost both her parents recently to cancer. At risk of stating the obvious, it was a terrible time for all concerned. The help and support provided by Macmillan nurses was invaluable, we would not have coped without them. They helped Jo’s Mum and Dad both come to terms with what was happening to them, providing both medical care and emotional support during the darker days. When the inevitable finally happened, Macmillan were still there for those left behind, giving their time freely to all who needed it. We will be forever in their debt.

The Automotive link:
Jo’s Dad, Maurice, was a Production Engineer. He worked for Hesketh in the 70s and 80s, setting up the factory to make the V1000 in Daventry. Later moving to Borg Warner to build their gearbox manufacturing lines.
