OT - New website / venture
Hi All,
to try and break out of my current cycle, i've been doing photography, some of you may remember the thread i posted when i did the garage to
studio conversion.
Now photos are starting to help me fix things.
so i decided to do a website. see the link and let me know what you think.
www.nb-photos.co.uk
All i wish is that all the models didn't keep cancelling at the last minute, leaving me with nothing to do.
many thanks
Neil

eerr, not sure if its just my PC, but when I try to go to your website its a black screen and all my programs start jumping all over the place. Tried
it a few times and its still the same.

Works fine for me (Google Chrome 5.0.356.0 dev on Debian Linux, Flash 10)
Good luck with the business, not an easy path but it'll all be worth it in the end.

Works now I know to open it with a full size window. With a reduced window (like I usually use when at work) it sends all my other open programs all
wobbly.
But had a good look now, looks very good, nice layout.
But you need a lot more models to showcase your work IMHO
Using IE6 - I know, don't say anything, its my 'works' PC so they make the rules

agreed, but it's not helping by them keep cancelling, i'm wondring if someone is warning them off. or maybe just my paranoid mind at the
minte

very impressive site - only concern is its not fantastically fast to load. Perhaps having your main screen and main menu loading faster would be
good.
I'd suggest mixing up the models so its not a collection of all the same girls in the galary. If you click on it and only look at the first 4 or
5 pictures you assume you've only shot one woman.
Also make a point of saying somewhere that all models under 16/18 *must* be escorted or something. (using different words as that sure sounds creepy)
I'm trying to make the point that a model is allowed to bring a friend in case she's nervous of being shot. When i was shooting people we
always did it with a couple of photographers (reduced our cost hiring the studio & gave us both inspiration and motivation) and they brought a
friend to make them feel more comfortable.

Nice site mate very pro.
My only thought is whether you need to show your calendar, bearing in mind at the moment it shows how little, rather than how much, work you have?
Otherswise , great and good luck

Nice site.
Although, I think the photos take too long to skip through because of the circle round the numbers.
Would take that out.

Thats a tidy looking website...
very similar to mine actually..

Although your photography skills are far better than mine
I would hide the calendar to be honest.... and if you get to the point of wanting to sell prints online... let me know.. I have quite a good system
that uses the paypal API to take payments

You are missing out on anyone browsing with an iPhone as they do not support flash. dont know if you if you can add your details or something if you
don't have flash installed.
Other than that it looks good.
