Political compass

Anyone used this website? Use it to determine your political stance by answering questions.

http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

How many people are voting for the wrong party? Loads of people treat it like a football match "oh my parents voted for them, I'll support them too" or "this area is a _ _ _ _ area, always has been!" or vote without knowing a single thing about the party.

Why not make it so everyone has to take a test similar to this one before voting? (they wouldn't have to follow the results, but I'm sure lots would be suprised) or a short 3 question test about the party you want to vote for so you know the voter has given it some thought?

My result :

Don't understand any of it as I am so ignorant (I won't vote however, to prevent my ignorance unfairly influencing anything!)

However, here's my chart, if someone could tell me what it means

Down with the Dali and Madela for me then - about the area I'd have put myself anyway.

Still doesn't guide me in which bunch of lying, sefl-interested, hypocrtical, immoral, weasley bunch of politicians to vote for.

Somewhat in-line with Steve's comment above, I'm considering not voting simply bcause I don't have a suitable rationale for deciding who to vote for. I really can't see that one is any better/different than another

It doesn't adress enough issues and some of the questions are too ambiguos (You might pick strongly dissagree because you think something doesn't go far enough but to them your the same as some one totally opposed) and I don't agree with there placings of prominent politicians.

There are better ones out there but I'm not looking, besides, if everyone actually voted for what they truely believed in we'd have hundreds of parties with seats.

imagine you didn't vote for parties, but for individuals for specific roles in the cabinet.
wonder how badly that would fail
