Ebay seller ill, options on what I should do?
Hi Chaps
I bought an item (HDMI DVD player) on 25th March. I sent the seller a question on the 25th after I had paid and had the following auto reply:
TL.SUPPLIES.LTD
CLOSED DUE TO ILL HEALTH,
PLEASE NOTE,
I WILL RESPOND TO ALL EMAILS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE,
APOLOGIES FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
ALL EMAILS WILL BE DEALT WITH ASAP..
BEST WISHES
TERRY
I then sent another email today saying I hope they are better and asking for an estimated deliver. I received the same auto reply.
What are my options now? I need a DVD player! I can contact paypal and ask for a refund (I think I can do this?) or I can wait! The wait option is
less appealing as there is no estimation of when they will be back and operational again!
The seller had other listings ending after mine finished but hasn't listed anything for a week!

Depends how nice your feeling i guess. In a happy mood and not needing the DVD player for a week. Then leave it and hope to hear something in the next
few days.
Feeling a bit pissed off. Going straight to paypal. Get your money back and order another one from elsewhere?

Illness is no excuse... If I was ill and had to get items out... I would simply ask a friend/relative to finish up the orders...
He cant be that ill or that message would not have appeared..
Go to paypapl.... take your business elswhere..

Is there a time limit for getting your cash back from paypal? I'm thinking if he is paid at month end by paypal and corks it it might be iffy
getting dosh back.
Sympathise with the guy if he is ill but business is busness - would your mortgage company let you off with interest cos you were ill - I think not.

Its not about being nasty or nice. Business is business. Get the goods, or your money back.
Put a claim in, an start the process. Itll take them two weeks to do it anyway.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

^^^^ you heartless lot.
I would send a bunch of flowers, daffodils probably, and a BUPA leaflet and wait at least 3 months.
How would like it if you were ill?
(and don't even think of paying a visit in case it is something contagious).

Do i really expect random strangers that have given me money and expect me to send them goods, to show me compassion?? Why would they.
Its almost the perfect scam though.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

Agree business is business, he should make provision for illness, his other creditors won't wait, get a paypal dispute opened.

I fell into this category some time ago - not for much money thank fully.
Seller sent me email saying her Dad died etc, then she was kicked about by boyfriend etc she even called me to say she was having problems in her job
at Doncaster Airport... I swallowed it!
45 days later and my Goods had still not appeared... I lost all rights to make a claim... I wont do it again!!!
Begin the process you heartless git, having a heart costs you money in business!!!
