More Ebay Misery...

31st May, in a drunken frenzy paid a little over the top for a plasma cutter... really wanted one so the beer took over.

Anyway, not that fussed but the bloody thing still hasn't turned up!

Complained to the seller, and I got a mail last Monday saying it had been dispatched and would take 2~4 days....

Any advice? Really want the cutter but slightly concerned about me cash!

Did you pay with paypal?

If so... give it till middle of next week... then open a dispute with paypal... they usualy find in the buyers favour (annoyingly sometimes) and will refund the money...

You have recourse if it was thru a 3rd party and doesn't show up.

But if you want the deal off then thats more of a problem.

Its getting more common for sellers to sell stock they havnt got.

ie you buy it from them and they then source it from there supplier. And this takes time.

I think you will get it this next week.

Personally I'd be annoyed if I were the seller and you tried to back out of the deal. It's only been 14 days since you decided to buy it and it sounds like delivery is imminent (Although I don't know what delivery time was stipulated in the ad)

Sounds to me as though you sobered up and realised just how much it's cost you. Can't really blame the seller for that.......

I'm sure there's a valuable lesson to be learnt here......

Delivery date was the 4th June. Have had an apology from the seller and guess what? It arrived today and there was nobody in

Going down the depot (next to where I work) tomorrow to pick it up.

Then I can get cracking with the spring mounts
