iPhone Playing Up
The touch-pad on my iPhone has been slowing down over the last week. I hit an icon and it takes a while for it to work.
Anyone experienced this, or know a fix?

if your working with ios 4 then its normal cos you will be multi tasking i guess.
mine is slow cos i havent updated and have around 300 apps on my phone but when i hard restart it occasionally it speeds up. im not updating yet cos
of bugs in version 4.0
to answer your question hard restart it if its not i os 4 (keep hold of off button and slide across red bar) then turn on.

you will be multi tasking.
double click the bottom button you will get a pop up.... if you have more than one app running you will see them in the pop up window.
you can keep hold of the logo of the app and click the - button that will end the app.
then you will be back to quick again.
just keep an eye out for multi tasking... it kills your battery

Is there any way I can delete some of the pre-programmed apps... 'stocks', etc.?

yep! but you need the summer board which means your iphone needs jail braking.
just move them to end page where you wont see them.
to move them just hold a app then most apps will get a X at the top right. then drag to other page or use itunes app page.
did you stop any apps running? did it help?

The 'slowness' I'm talking about is the reaction time from pressing a particular icon (say 'text-message' or
'camera' to it actually opening the function.

Im beta testing some changes to 4 which helps 3g speed up a bit but it's ok if u don't multiple task at all and hard reset occassionslly.
I'm back on 3.13 on my personal 3g.

I don't think os 4 is worth having yet, especially if your phone has been 'jail broken' for free apps

you can jail break os4 now anyway.
redsnow works.
just download real firmware of iphone hacks site.
run though redsnow 4 and then install in itunes.
and you have cydia. just install installous so you can get all the "free" apps you want.
