oh bugger

being a tool, i decided to buy a bmx, and go the local skate park.

i thought it might be fun, and it was till i tried a drop in that was whey bigger than ive done before, fell about 8-10ft onto my wrist and now i cant move my arm.

note to self - i am no longer twelve, and i felt every ounce of my 14 1/2 stone.

off to a&e in a bit, cant move my elbow...

Oooh hope all is ok, well not too much damage anyway.

Stories like that remind me of being 12 and just got a Raleigh Chopper, Dad, all 6'4" and 17 st of him thought a ride on it was a good idea, seeing him on his arse and the chopper sumersulting down the road is an image that will never leave me. He even replaced the wrecked bike too....

I was in Llandudno yesterday and was persuaded by my lad to go on the toboggan run with him, this is a metal track down a hillside which you ride down on a sort of skateboard contraption with a brake lever.
After the first run when I used the brake I decided not to brake at all on the second run, this was ok until I reached the fastest part when I managed to reach the top of the banking on one corner leading to me coming to a sudden stop.I jumped back on quickly and ignored the pain until I got back to the hotel and found I had a grazed arm and my shoulder was red raw and bleeding and I am now rather sore and stiff.
Maybe I should remember im not a teenager any more although it was actually rather good fun.

woohoo - out of cast again!

type 1 fracture of radial head means i'll be tool weilding within 2 weeks...well maybe not tools weilding, but ill be able have 80% back.

3-4 months till its 100%, and i may loose a few degrees extension of the elbow - all in all, not too bad.

could string it out with work, but im bored already so may go back later this week if i feel up to the drive to manchester from liverpool.
